What is 2 Tier Affiliate Programs

How will referring new affiliates to an affiliate program make me money in the future? That's where a 2 tier affiliate program works like magic!

Affiliates are becoming cleverer by the day. So lately, affiliates know the difference between the various sorts of traffic they will get purchased. There are tons of definitions through – CPM, CPC, CPA, CPL, CPD, and lots more.

CPM is impressions when the publisher (the website owner) gets paid whenever a banner is shown.

CPC is clicked, where the publisher (or email marketer and other marketers) gets paid whenever a banner or text link is clicked upon.

The opposite ways of getting paid are grouped under the term performance marketing – and this is often where the term affiliate is most ordinarily used also.

An affiliate may be a marketer who sends visitors to a different site employing a sort of methods (such as placing banners or text links on their own site, buying sponsored listings on search engines, email marketing, and lots of other different methods) and gets paid when an action happens. An action could be a lead (CPL signifies cost per lead), a purchase (CPS signifies cost per sale), or a download (CPD signifies cost per download). there's also a term within the Internet industry for performance-based marketing called CPA (cost per acquisition).

However, the term is usually used for more specific sorts of campaigns, like lead generation and sales. it is easy to know the remainder now that we've gotten over the hard part. The affiliate gets purchased sending visitors to a selected landing page where an action happens – either a lead, a sale, a download, or another kind of action that the advertiser requires.

Some advertisers purchase opt-in email addresses to create up their databases, whereas others buy zip codes to get leads from specific locations, then encourage visitors to fill out a more detailed lead form after filling in their postcode. Affiliates get paid when an action is performed.

A 2 Tier affiliate program is just finding new marketers to check in under you to try to do exactly what you're doing – sending visitors to different offers and getting paid when the visitors perform some kind of action. So why would you like other marketers to check-in under you to market equivalent offers?

It's simple - you get paid a percentage of every affiliate you refer earnings? Sounds complicated, huh?

Don’t worry, it’s not hard to know. As an example, say John promotes 5 different offers on one affiliate network. From these different offers, he gets purchased every lead, sale, email, and postcode he generates. during this case, John explains the Network and instructs Mark to check in by clicking a banner or text link featuring John's referral code. Now, Mark has signed up for the Affiliate Network under John, and he is making promotions for various advertisers and offers offered through the Affiliate Network. These offers DON’T need to be equivalent offers that John is promoting.

In the Affiliate Network, Mark can promote any offer he wants.  And this is often the simplest part… For any amounts that Mark gets paid, John receives a percentage of the quantity over and above what Mark gets paid. So if Mark gets paid $1000 in Month 1, and therefore the 2 Tier Affiliate program is paying 5%, then John would receive $50 only for referring Mark. But it gets even better…Some 2 Tier Affiliate Networks pay LIFETIME commissions.

So John wouldn’t get a referral commission only for a month or a year – he receives it FOR ALL TIME.  If Mark becomes an excellent affiliate and starts generating HUGE commissions monthly, John can just sit back and collect the checks as he referred him.

There are 3 important things to understand when finding affiliates to check-in under you on 2 Tier Affiliate Programs: is that the affiliate program or affiliate network credible, has proper tracking so your referrals are correctly tracked, has good campaigns and offers for the affiliates to market so that they actually do make money and do they pay timeously?

Assuming that the affiliate program or network is sweet, what percentage do they pay you on amounts that your referrals get paid?

All programs vary so compare different programs to ascertain what the industry standard is.  How long does one continue receiving referral commissions? Some buy a month, some for the lifetime, and in fact, there are many variations in between.

So do your homework and find a 2 Tier program that will cause you to money long within the future for the work you’re doing today.
